Unveiling Mira Murati: The Interim CEO of OpenAI

Mira Murati, who previously worked behind the scenes as chief technology officer at OpenAI, overseeing the development and delivery of products such as ChatGPT and DALL-E, is now stepping into the limelight as the company’s interim chief executive. Ms. Murati, who was born in Albania and educated in Canada, is a mechanical engineer by training. She joined OpenAI in 2018 after working at Tesla and Leap Motion.

Ms. Murati had been functioning as the company’s head of operations, taking care of its relationships with Microsoft and shaping its artificial intelligence policy.
